Lead Into Gold:
Writing to Reveal, Heal, and Transform

with Christopher Ferreiras
Saturday, July 20th
5-7pm
Maha Rose Brooklyn

Lead Into Gold: Writing to Reveal, Heal, and Transform is a generative creative writing workshop on the cathartic alchemy of expressive writing in the form of poetry and prose. Within each of us lies a wealth of stories waiting to be shared—lead represents the dark, dense, heaviness, and challenges of our raw experiences and emotions, while gold symbolizes the light, beauty, wisdom, and abundance that can emerge from the creative writing process.

In this workshop attendees will not only uncover the transformative potential of their lived experiences, but also gain the tools to harness their stories and shape them into valuable prose, poetry, and healing insights. Using immersive writing prompts, attendees will develop a collection of short poems and prose, and can choose to share their written works aloud in a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Attendees can expect to find a sense of community and kinship with fellow writers, and leave with a valuable toolkit of writing prompts, techniques, and effective mindfulness practices to alchemize their lives, catalyze their personal creative writing practices.
