Our Ancestor’s Stars:
A Beginner’s Journey into Sidereal Astrology
with Christina Willis & Javier García Sánchez
Saturday, May 10th
2-6pm
In a time of chaos, we seek clarity.
For millennia, we’ve turned to the stars in order to tap into the unseen forces that shape our lives. This 4-hour immersive, beginner-friendly workshop invites you to explore the ancient roots of astrology, empowering you to interpret your own personal birth chart with clarity and confidence. Through Kemetic and Vedic lenses, we’ll rediscover Sidereal astrology and uncover the deeper meanings of the “big three” — Sun, Moon, and Rising — in a way many have never encountered before.
The origins of astrology can be traced back to pre-colonial Egypt, known as ancient Kemet. At that time, people tracked celestial movements to measure time, predict events, and commune with the divine—through deities, the afterlife, and the cosmos itself. This was Sidereal astrology. It was only after Alexander the Great’s colonization of Egypt that the Tropical system took hold.
This workshop offers a space to remember and reclaim these original frameworks, honoring ancestral knowledge while empowering participants to interpret their own personal birth charts with clarity and confidence. Led by two Moonmoons practitioners, ancestral sidereal astrologer Christina Willis and artist and meditation teacher Javier García Sánchez, the day will unfold with presence, intention, and new clarity.
You’ll leave with:
A clear understanding of the Sidereal zodiac and how it differs from mainstream astrology
Personalized insights into your cosmic identity (Sidereal Sun, Moon & Rising)
Tools to interpret your own Sidereal birth chart with confidence
Practices to apply these insights to your daily life and inner growth
This unique experience is a collaboration between Maha Rose & Moonmoons, a global platform that connects people with trusted, integrity led healers worldwide.

Christina Willis
Christina Willis is an Ancestral Astrologer who uses both the Kemetic and Sidereal zodiacs. Her work centers indigenous African cosmology and astronomy frameworks specifically from the Dogon, Kemetic, and Dagara lineages of west and north Africa, as well as the Jyotish tradition of India. Christina uses astrology to “un-gaslight” the citizens of the earth and confirm that “yes, your mom was really like that!” In addition to helping clients navigate their internal emotional worlds, Christina also uses astrology to aid people in making life decisions around career, money, health, and relationships.
Javier García Sánchez
Javier is a multidisciplinary artist and guide devoted to inner transformation and creative expression. His work moves between worlds—where ancient practices meet modern life, where the subtle becomes visible, where silence gives way to form. Rooted in over a decade of contemplative practice, Javier draws from traditions of meditation, yoga, breathwork, and embodied wisdom to help others return to presence, clarity, and inner spaciousness. At the heart of his path is a quiet devotion to awareness—how it shapes perception, informs action, and reveals deeper layers of being. His students and collaborators are drawn to the gentle rigor of his presence, the poetic language of his words, and the way he fuses artistic and spiritual inquiry into a living, breathing experience. Javier regularly undertakes silent retreats and is completing a multi-year study of the 18 Foundational Buddhist Courses through the Asian Classic Institute. He is also a student of aikidō and the Japanese tea ceremony—practices that echo his reverence for discipline, grace, and subtle transmission. Both Practitioners are part of the first 30 practitioners in the Moonmoons network, a platform that connects people to integrity led healers world-wide.
